Finding A Date On The Subway Takes Nerve But It Can Be Done
by John Simmons
Three weeks ago I was on the New York subway minding my own
business and a beautiful blonde woman got on the train and sat across
from me. I could not help but look at her as she sat down and put on
her IPod. Her beauty was just stunning.
I tried not to stare so I started to read my book (Robert Kiyoskai's
Before You Quit Your Job). As I looked up from reading my book
we made eye contact and she gave me a little smile. It was ever so
little but hey it was a smile. I knew right then and there I had to do
something but didn't know what.
Being I was in my work clothes and not exactly looking like a good
catch I knew it would have to be something different. I opened my
wallet and took out a business card and wrote something on the back.
As the train was pulling into my station I handed her the card that
she seen me write and I got up the nerve to hand it to her. She was a
little surprised but took the card and started to read it.
As I was stepping off the train she gave me a signal that she was
going to call me as my cell phone number was on the other side of the
business card. I just smiled and then the doors closed and the train
went on its way.
About 3 hours later I get a phone call from her. She tells me that she
was impressed with what I was reading as she has just finished another
one of Kiyoskai's books. She says she was shy and was scared to ask me
about the book. I told her that I would be happy to explain over
a candlelight dinner and I asked her out. She said Yes! Are you curious as to what I
wrote on the card? All it said was "I am going to be a millionaire
next year Call Me I will explain".
